Meet the Author
Jay R. Spector, CFP®
A trusted partner in financial clarity, with a career rooted in service, strategy, and long-term thinking.
Building a Firm Around What Matters Most
Jay is honored to be a founding partner of EverVest Financial alongside his long-time colleague, Elizabeth Mahoney. The two first met early in their careers and shared a vision to create a firm centered on independence, thoughtful planning, and a truly personalized approach to wealth management.
Today, that vision continues to guide their work and their commitment to every client they serve.
A Career Built on Experience
Jay began his career in Washington, D.C., serving as an assistant to former U.S. Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt while earning a Master of Science in Real Estate from The Johns Hopkins University.
He later returned to Arizona to serve as Executive Director of the Arizona Water Infrastructure Finance Authority under Governor Janet Napolitano, helping guide financial strategy for municipalities across the state.
From there, he transitioned into the private sector as a municipal finance investment banker and later as a Vice President at RBC Capital Markets before returning to his original passion—financial planning.
A Personal Commitment to Helping Others
While Jay valued his work in municipal finance, he found his greatest fulfillment in helping individuals and families navigate their financial futures. That realization led him back to financial planning, where he could provide direct, meaningful guidance built on trust and long-term relationships.
